Technical External Sales & Draughting Representative

Job Purpose:

To provide excellent & professional service to customers with a focus on technical sales, product installation and draughting support.

Requirements:

• Senior Certificate – Matric with mathematics (Not maths Lit)
• Ability to read, understand and generate technical drawings. Experience with Fusion-360 will be preferred
• Post-matric technical qualification (eg. Certificate, Diploma) and/or min 3years full time work experience in a Technically focused role is required
• Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Any ERP system knowledge is a requirement
• Excellent Verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail & well organized
• 2 -5 Years’ experience in a similar role
• Reliable transport
• Medically fit to gain access to worksites
• Reliable, highly motivated, and confident attitude
• To be able to perform well under pressure, must possess a high stress tolerance
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Must work well with fellow employees in a team environment and possess a high level of emotional maturity
• Willing to travel for extended periods and work overtime when required
• Must be willing to carry out tasks outside of job description, where reasonable
• Sober habits and lifestyle as regular testing is done prior to granting customer site access

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Compile reports, spreadsheets and data management for customer base
• Provide support to the external sales department
• Compiling of Costings and quotes to customers
• Selecting appropriate material grades based on understanding of customers application and requirements
• Assistance with the processing of tenders
• Perform other jobs critical to external sales operations
• Draughting of technical drawings for manufacture
• Review and edit existing drawings when required
• Assess customer supplied drawings to ensure all relevant detail is required for manufacture
• Monitor, evaluate and report on product installations and product performance on customer sites
• Any other reasonable Ad Hoc tasks as required by Management
• Attend sales conferences offsite with possible travel for these events
