Position Title: Senior Buyer

Job Summary:

The Senior Buyer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and services necessary for the production of construction material, as well as all related activities. This includes managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of all materials,  and optimizing costs. The Senior Buyer will work closely with the heads of the various departments within the organisation, and shall report directly to the MD.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Male/Female
  • Physically fit and healthy
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as needed
  • Computer Literate at intermediate level (Pastel Partner understanding advantageous)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with a minimum of 3 years in the construction industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
  • Knowledge of industry procurement requirements as well as good mechanical / technical understanding of construction sites / plants
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

  • Cost savings achieved through effective negotiation and sourcing
  • Supplier performance and reliability
  • Compliance with quality and regulatory standards
  • Accuracy and timeliness of procurement documentation and reporting

Working hours / days: Monday to Friday (07h00 until 17h00) – Saturday (07h00 until 13h00) – After hour work will be required when operationally necessitated.
